Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Local Media, Univision Communications Inc.
Roxanna Flores is Senior Vice President, Human Resources, Local Media for Univision Communications Inc., the leading Hispanic media company in the U.S. In this role, she oversees the delivery and implementation of strategic human resources initiatives and organizational strategy throughout Univision’s local media division, encompassing 120-plus owned and operated television and radio stations in all markets where Univision has a presence. Flores works side-by-side with Diane Kniowski, Univision’s President and Regional General Manager of Local Media, and the organization’s local market general managers.
Flores has deep expertise in the media industry having held multiple human resources management roles across high profile broadcast, print and digital brands throughout her career. Prior to joining Univision, she was chief people officer at Fortune Magazine, part of Meredith Corporation, which completed an acquisition of Time, Inc. during her seven-year tenure with the company. She also held several senior human resources roles supporting Time, Inc.’s global titles including Sports Illustrated and People en Español and served as Meredith’s first chief diversity officer. Prior to Time, Inc. Flores worked at Dow Jones & Company, a division of Newscorp, supporting The Wall Street Journal team. Earlier in her career, she held HR roles at Tribune Broadcasting Company’s WPIX-TV and WGN, The Daily News and Pfizer.
Flores is a long-time volunteer for New York Cares as well as a founding council member of the NY chapter of Cradles to Crayons. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Maryland and resides in Long Island, NY.
